Delayed connection for some users of Google Cloud service.

We are waiting for a blessing from Google Cloud Service. They like us, approve us, and say that we are data-secure. However, until they say so, they have limited the number of connections our app can make to their cloud. Your iPads are those connections. This is common for freshly coded software requesting a connection to their clouds, and since we all want Google to safeguard our data and all of the software connecting to them, we are not upset by this.

Except for the part where you can't connect. For that, we apologize.

Google Cloud might go live for all users at any minute, or ??? Thanks for your patience. We don’t want this to be happening either.

TRF version 3.0 is launched, replacing previous versions.

  • Pro Level Subscription = free to all until 4/1/25!

New:

TRF has been completely redesigned from scratch based on your feedback. Thank you, tattooers worldwide!

Two subscription levels and lower prices.

  • Covering small shops and mega-studios alike, affordability is assured for all. The prices and features for each level are fair because we feel the “little shops” are the DNA of our artistic movement, and we want them to afford solid legal and health compliance.

Two styles of login

  • We now offer Apple and Google login options. These raise the security of your data and your client’s data to the level of, well, the planetary gold standard. Right here in your lil’ TRF app.

Inclusive Client Gender and Pronoun Options

  • All clients are offered an inclusive choice of modern options, to tell or not to tell, and to text-input any gender or pronouns they feel. We believe clients have the right to feel how they feel and pronoun how they pronoun.

International Studio and Client Settings

  • You can now change the address and phone number formats with one tap to accommodate studios and clients worldwide.

Settings: EDITORS tab

  • TRF is designed for customization. Based on your studio's vibe, beliefs, and legal requirements, choose the health questions and legal clauses you present to your clients. Easily document the tools and pigments used in your sessions, which are recorded on every waiver. Compliance with health laws is automatically assured.

Generate Financial and Client Data Reports with one tap or by filtering. (Reports are a PRO subscription feature)

  • Client List Reports: Generate spreadsheets of all client data EXCEPT health information.

  • Financial Reports: You can now generate financial reports by artist, date range, date range and artist, or all of that at once.

In-app Knowledge Base

  • We are proud of this new feature! A comprehensive KB for you to self-teach, self-solve, and get back to work. Further, a rad support-by-email widget is built into TRF, maintained by real tattoo artists, not bots.

T1 and T2: Same dude.

  • The TRF you knew will inform your understanding of this version. We kept the feel but hired modern designers to bring the new science of human-machine interfacing to TRF. Think of us hiring UI/UX designers for Google, Apple, and Zoom. Now, think of Terminator 1 and T2. Right? Same dude, only smoother.

Tomorrow Tech

  • TRF is entirely recoded with modern architecture so crazy and futuristic that it’s hard to summarize. We were lucky to find a coder cavalier enough to try- and succeed!- at rebuilding TRF the way we wanted. Sorry it took so long! We did it right for you. #futureproofedbaby

Flows fo Shos

  • TRF app is now designed for six different types of users, each with specific needs. TRF groups the needs of each user into sequences of screens we call ‘flows.’ Flows give access where needed, limiting the learning curve for all. Ten-year-olds learn these flows accidentally. We know because we tested on the little gerbils. Too easy.

  • The six types of users are:

  1. Tattoo clients

  2. Tattoo artists

  3. Client-facing studio staff (aka front-desk help)

  4. Studio management

  5. Health Inspectors

  6. Legal Teams (oh lawdy, we hope never for you!)

  • The eight flows are:

  1. TRF App Initial Setup Flow

  2. Main Menu Flow

  3. New Client Flow

  4. Artist Notes Pane Flow

  5. Save for Later Flow

  6. Returning Client Flow

  7. TRF Cloud Folder Flow

  8. Settings Flow

  • That sounds like a lot, but your eyes and touch-interfacing neurons will flow right through TRF’s smooth, paperless health and legal compliance mojo.

Save For Later Flow (a PRO subscription feature)

  • When making a TRF waiver, both clients and artists add data. Between client and artist inputs, pause the waiver by tapping SAVE FOR LATER. This feature sets the unfinished waiver aside to be completed later and resets the app for the next client. Artists can now finish tattooing and then add their notes about pigments, gear, and designs used during the session. Things we don’t always know before we start.

And so much more!
