Efficiency Snobs for a calmer Humanity

The founders, Francis Bowen and Conan Lea, blend engineering and artistry to eliminate the stress and red tape of paper waiver processes. Francis loves quantifying and math-crushing problems that waste human potential. Conan loves to challenge ‘standards’ with oblique–yet simple and very pretty–solutions for human workflow. They invited Brandon Lea, Conan’s brother, to the front of Voluta Digital to help our customers feel amazing, which is Brandon’s superpower. Voluta Digital is our widget for soothing humanity while preserving our wondrous planet.

Francis Bowen

Father, snowboarder, surfer, PhD, engineer and professor.

Deeply deeply studying every topic in his path (then publishing on the topic), Francis is the consummate engineer with a strange air about him: likability. Kind, industrious and impossibly dependable, Francis is that guy at the party who is actually interested in you. Too busy helping everyone to really care about how he is perceived, Francis goes about his days improving literally everyone and everything he encounters. He also codes our apps.

Conan Lea

Father, artist, tattoo artist, former Marine, and newfangled nice guy.

Conan came up loving nature and furious at our species for the mistreatment of Earth. He joined the USMC to hone is fury, then had a baby right about the time he got really dangerous. Parenting woke him, he swapped the rifle for a tattoo machine and found joy in helping others express through body art. He had another baby, and together the sisters raised him from boy to man. With the help of thousands of tattoo clients and one hundred books, Conan recently took a breath and found empathy for our terrified species. Now he makes art and apps to soothe humans while generally hiding from them in the forest.

Brandon Lea

Hospitality guru, tech lover, VR ninja and tattoo artist

Brandon wandered far and wide to become the man he is. Brandon is great at humans and a wizard with tech, so an invitation to take over client relations for Voluta Digital was more of a plea than an invite. You’ve met him manning our booths at conventions or smiling right out at you from an email support request. His love of people, tech and trees  coupled with his enthusiasm for elevating all of us marks Brandon as a rare gem in the tech community.
